Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what data MaxELO (the “Service”), available at https://maxelo.ru, collects, why, how it is stored and how you can manage it.

1. Who is responsible

The Service is operated by its owner. For any data-related questions, contact support@maxelo.ru.

2. What data we process

• Public FACEIT data — nickname, avatar, country, level, ELO, statistics and match history of the players searched on the Service. FACEIT publishes this itself; it contains no contacts, addresses or payment information.
• Search queries — what was searched and when, to show recent searches and understand which pages are needed.
• Technical logs — IP address, user agent, request time and response code. Used for abuse protection, diagnostics and rate limiting.
• Aggregated statistics — which pages are opened, response codes and timings, linked to a random browser identifier. Used by the administrator to understand which sections are in demand. Kept for 120 days.
• FACEIT account data on sign-in — if you sign in with FACEIT we receive your FACEIT player_id, nickname and avatar. The email FACEIT provides during sign-in is not stored.

3. Cookies and local storage

• maxelo_uid — a random browser identifier used to show your recent searches (1 year).
• maxelo_session — a signed session cookie after FACEIT sign-in (30 days; contains only player_id, nickname and avatar).
• maxelo_lang — your interface language.
• maxelo_oauth — temporary sign-in state (CSRF protection, 10 minutes).
• localStorage — your theme choice.

There are no advertising or analytics trackers, third-party pixels or ad cookies.

4. Purposes and legal bases

• showing a player and their statistics — performance of your request;
• remembering recent searches and language — legitimate interest and your choice;
• FACEIT sign-in — your consent, given by pressing “Sign in with FACEIT”;
• logs and rate limiting — legitimate interest in the security of the Service.

5. Who receives data

We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing. Data is processed using:

• FACEIT — source of public game statistics and OAuth sign-in;
• FaceitAnalyser — public ELO history;
• hosting provider — the server running the Service (Finland).

6. Retention

• recent searches — 90 days;
• our own ELO snapshots — indefinitely (aggregated game statistics);
• technical logs — up to 14 days;
• sign-in session — 30 days or until you sign out.

7. Your rights

You may request information about the processing of your data, its correction or deletion, and withdraw your FACEIT sign-in consent (signing out is enough). Write to support@maxelo.ru. We respond within 30 days.

8. Security

Traffic is protected by HTTPS. The Service runs as a dedicated user in a restricted environment; only the administrator has access to the server and database. Session cookies are signed and not readable from JavaScript.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the Service.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page; the date is shown at the top.

11. FACEIT and Valve

The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official product of FACEIT or Valve. Trademarks belong to their owners. Game data belongs to FACEIT.
